Give it a little time and rest. If it hasn't improved in 24 hours either, (a) check it out with your doctor or (b) get it looked at by a craniosacral therapist or a cranial osteopath. - doctor's cheaper.

Rest, and alternate between heat and cold. The cold will help reduce any swelling and the heat will be comforting. Does this happen to you often? If so you may have TMJ. This can happen if your teeth are not in alignment and you may need braces to line your teeth up.

See a dentist before it gets any worse. Sounds like TMJ. You may need to be fitted with a mouth piece.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Why don't you try some time tested home remedies? I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
