Sleeping late at night, to be frank, comes pretty natural to most of us; I'm not sure I understand your question. If you mean going to bed late, that can be bad if you do not get enough sleep (7-8 hrs a night). Sleeping late at night and it's effects are pretty evident; feeling rested in the morning. I would love to help you out but I just do not understand your wording; try to add a few details to the question please. Thanks

Going to bed to sleep not much later than midnight may be good for the body. Sleeping from midnight on, until six or seven in the morning, may make you feel mentally fresh the whole day long no matter what job you have - it may make you have the fiercy bright glow of healthy life in your face.
All living creatures get some hours of sleep at night or during day, according to their specific strategy of life.
Human beings from prehistory learned the habit of going to sleep quite late in the evening because they should do a lot of preparations for the night. They should work a lot to ensure that their abode was kind of safe for the night against wild beasts and murderous human foes.

Many people enjoy sleeping late at night. Many others have to do this owing to their professional obligations. And yet many other develop a habit from their workplace or for some other reasons like spells of preparations for exams, tests etc.
In all such and related situations, sleeping late at night may not produce any harmful consequences.
It is believed that a person would have a bio-rhythm and the sleep-wake cycle would be determined by it. Those who enjoy sleeping late at night will have a bio-rhythm that warrants it.
In japan, they use a 'flexitime' approach toward the workforce. There are several shifts and workmen can select the ones that correspond to their bio-rhythm or their personal choice.
Conventional wisdom would have us believe that sleeping late at night may be harmful for health. It alters the body responses, gives rise to head ache and sluggishness during day time, impairs memory, may affect vision, and also create and aggravate body weight problems. However, scientific investigations do not seem to be supporting these apprehensions.

I have a sleep disorder. I was told that the best sleep that the body gets is going to bed, even for a short period of time, between the hours of 9-12pm. The body has its best sleep during this time, I'm not sure why, maybe if you try doing this once or twice a week it will help. Take care Heather

I think it depends on the person, and what kind of schedule you have. Most people need about 8 hours of sleep, some people need 10, others need only 5 or 6 hours. As long as your sleeping patterns don't interfere with your work or school and you feel like you get enough rest, you're probably doing fine. .

Everyone's body is different but we all need enough rest an relaxation to be healthy. Your sleeping patterns are irrelevant unless they interfere with required activities or you don't get enough therapeutic sleep. Being a nightowl is not harmful, many people like to experience life in late night activities ( or inactivity) just make sure you get the rest you need to be productive and happy during your waking hours. Good luck!

Sleeping late at night is not good for body bcaz body has a internal clock & work accordingly. At night if u sleep late in the morning u will get up late & will feel lithargy & lack of concentration ,u will not fell fresh . The diurinal variation of body would be disturbed . In the dark pitutary secreate a hormone melitonin which causes natural sleep . This gives the quality to sleep. Sleeping late give rise to more acid production & u may feel heart burn in morning & headaches.

Hmmm, if you go to sleep at 2 am and wake at 6 am, then get up and start your day. Trying to catch those extra two or three hours can often wear you out. Anyway, that's how my body works. When I try to sleep 8 hours, I always feel completely run-down, but when I sleep only two to four hours, I feel energized. Moreover, after a couple of days or a week of this, I usually get back to sleeping normally, and feeling better.

The light and the darkness have special affects on the body as they have on the plants.
To sleep at night is the most natural thing. However if it is not possible then atleast try to sleep at the same time of the day to have a normal rhythm.

Are you waking up a 6am/8am or 6pm/8pm? If it is 6am/8pm it could be you don't need much sleep at night to be refreshed. Some people need 8 or even 10 some may need just 5 or 6.
