My disk de-frag is not working, and pc keeps shutting down.Is there anyone that can offer any help please?

Restart in safe mode.
Run scandisk
reboot again into safe mode
run defrag

Try Auslogics Disk Defrag. It's much faster than Windows defrag, and is free. turn off or disable your screen saver while running defrag, especially if you have a large hard drive. That will interfere with the action.

What I would do is reinstall the XP or whatever your OS is Sort of srart from scratch.Sometimes my computer gets too slow and this seems to fix it. Good luck

type advanced windows care in your address bar, or iobit. its a free defrag program and it's good
