I am not talking about people who need to have both workig but htose who don't....? They have kids, hire the nanny, and back at work, then when the kids are old enough, off to private boarding school, so whats the point...it seems odd to me, I think they just want an image of themselves becasuse they are just so "special"...????????????? Why have them?...I feel sorry for kids like that....my friend was one and she is messed up...

Think of the kids as Yuppie Bling. You don't actully have to raise them, or deal with them, or even clean up after them. Thats what the house hold help is for. But your a mommy and it makes you importent.

Unfortunately everyone has the right to procreate whether they be good or bad parents it isn't for u and I to judge. These hard working parents who have a desire to work, work, work all the time and just provide for a child without showing or giving the love and attention that child needs r just as needy as the child. they r misguided human beings who feel that materialistically providing for their child they r giving love. When in truth the children grow up like ur friend. But hence there is where we come in to teach our friends, products of these shameful acts that they r loved by their friends like u and me. It is our duty and responsibility to show these unattended souls that God and we love them so much that we'd gladly share our own families with them so that when they get married and procreate they don't do what their parents did to them. It is a blessing for u to have such a friend in need now the blessing would be passed on if u include her more into ur family activities to show her how much u really care about her and have a life long friend or more than that an adopted sister without papers. Here's ur chance take advantage of God's blessing for both of u. That is why these children r here so that we the greater population can have a chance to make things right with God help. God bless both of u and go get ur blessings help out that poor soul who so much needs u.

It is having two working parents that inspires so many Gen-X parents to opt for one to be a Stay at Home Parent these days. It's happening more now than it has in the past decade.

They don't necessarily think about having kids (or not to have kids), but MANY couples have sex just like any other couple, for fun, not just as a means to have children.

I have seen kids of stay home parents definitely and irreparably messed up too.
