We actually have a 1999 F350 7.3 turbo diesel dually. Diesels are not anything like gas burners. Diesels engines with 100,000 miles are like gas burners with 15,000. If you think about it a diesel engine will typically last about 400,000 to 500,000 where a gas burner will typically last around 200,000. That is a good deal depending on if the lift is done right and what kind of lift (suspension or body lift) it is. People that normally buy trucks like that, use them for hauling. We have a car restoration business and haul all over the world to car shows. Mileage accumalates after a year or two. Hope this helps.

My husband is a mechanic for a specialty truck company, it has been his experience that ford vehicles do not hold their mileage well over 100k. That is also a great amount of mileage for a vehicle of that year. Even though the accessories on the vehicle make it seem very mouth watering, the repairs you will be doing are sure to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Happy Shopping and best of luck, car buying can be tricky.

That is a steal if you've had it checked out mechanically and it all works well. Who cares about the high miles...They last for 5 times that long when maintained!
