Ecc 9:5 says the dead know nothing at all. They will be resurrected during Judgement day the 1000 years of peace.
What they are getting in touch with is the wicked spirits or fallen angels. These demons know where these people are but notice they usually find them after they are dead.

because there are only psychics succeeding after murder has been done even in cases of kidnapping. Who do you think it all serves ? The craft multiplies.
The murderer is set in deadly sin by the time the psychic gains "insight" through a mass of confusing images.
The murdered lost his or her hope of being found alive. Satan destroys hope.
More people are seduced by Satan in the spirit of psychic confusion regarding the contacting of spirits which are in reality a masquerade of a demon.
Not even in one case has a live victim ever been found by psychics. Logic dictates that the deceiver's modus operandi operates to his complete satisfaction, in the big picture.

I'm not sure who's spirit these psychics say they contact, but the dead should be left in their eternal sleep, and not contacted...there is no proof that the spirits they contact are really those of the ones a person has lost.... when a person dies they are no more.
