More than you need... that's for sure. Probably just 10 or 20 grams, I reckon. As to the exact amounts, you would probably learn more at www.bodybuilding.com. It's a great resource for the type of knowledge you seek.

you have to look at two things, protein digestion and protein utilization. the body will digest all proteins that enter the digestion system if it's functioning properly (healthy). how much of that protein will be utilized depends on factors like:

amount of lean body mass that the person has
how much strenuous activity does the person partake in during the week. this has a major effect on muscle protein turnover. what are the goals of the individual? a person looking to maintain the current weight needs less than in another training phase when increase lean body mass is the goal.

so there is no real answer to the question. if you take in 1-1.5 grams of protein per lb of lean body mass, you will be getting sufficient protein. but anywhere from 30-40% of cals from protein would be the maximum.

How much you eat is of less important; How much you digest plays important roll in maintaining/improving health.
The quantity of protein will depend upon work/exercise you do, age, tropics and most important HUNGER.
If you don't exercise/have no hard work you will need comparatively less proteins. In old age you can't digest proteins. In cold regions people need large quantity of proteins to generate heat.
Hunger plays most imp. roll. If you are hungry then only you can digest proteins, otherwise not. Now you decide what will be your intake. And remember you will take about 5 hrs. to digest proteins, hence there will be no intake of food for 5 hrs. at least; but you can take juices after 3 hours.

You should only intake about 150gs a day. So don't take too much. And you arn't going to average 6g an hour. Too much protein is bad for organs, don't over do it.

not sure the exact percentage but you should only consume 1gram per body weight pound so a 200 lb man should have 200 grams a day
