This annoys me to no extent!!! I used to be in the Army and everthing about the Army is on a hurry up basis. I like to get where I am going and these slackers in holding up the passing lane are very blessed that I couldn't take my M-16 with me when I got out!

Those people are called "Throttle Nazis" by some, and their major malfunction seems to be that they are socially inept, megalomaniacal morons whose purpose on the roads is to force everyone to do the speed limit. What they do not realize is that they are the primary cause of road rage, accidents, and gridlock.

Unless they have a badge on their shirt and red & blues on top of their car, it is not their duty to dictate the actions of others.

Do they honestly believe that the irate driver behind them will suddenly stop and think, "Gosh, I've been so wrong all this time in driving safely! I should have been going much slower and talking on the cell phone the whole time! Praise Jesus that this concerned citizen has shown me the error of my ways, and I vow to always operate my conveyance well below the legally posted limit from this point forward!"

The other place I have found Throttle Nazis is in California, where the left lane isn't the fast lane, it's the "I'm Not Going To Exit Soon" lane. So there is a possibility that the Throttle Nazi in front of you may simply be an inept Californian.

Learn patience, by getting upset you are more likely to cause an accident. As long as they are going at the proper speed limit they are obeying the law and therefore, you should also obey the speed limit. That is why we hear of so many car accidents. If this car doesn't slow you down something else will, like traffic lights etc. but eventually you will get to where you are going almost at the same time as you would had you tried darting into the slower lane then back to the passing lane and speeding and probably being to upset to notice a car coming and causing an accident.

I get VERY annoyed by this. And sometimes, the person in the "fast" lane is going SLOWER than the person in the "slow" lane, but I can't get over because everyone behind me is pulling out to pass on the right.

You must be from Michigan.

I hate when someone does that, and tend to ask myself the same question.
