Does anybody know how many patients there currently are in hospitals in the UK?

You would be surprised to know that the number changes every second of the day. some are only sent out as out patients, but still are counted as patients requiring treatment so you would never get the correct number of patients currently in hospitals.

Far toooo many for the staff to cope with and they are cutting the staff daily..
