Well, there are Muslims in most Asian countries, including China.
There are also Baha'is in virtually all Asian countries, including Pakistan and Bengal. There are two million Baha'is in India.
Hinduism can also be found in a number of countries other than India. Sikhism is a minority religion in India, and very concentrated in one region, but it is one of the major Indian religions. There are Hindus in Pakistan.

The Muslims (as usual) fought the Hindu's for their own Islamic country, which they eventually got i.e. Pakistan
Some still are not happy (as usual) are still fighting (as usual) for more land i.e. Kashmir.
Pakistan's claim the Indian Hindus were Islamaphobic so they had to have their own Islamic states.
India is so Islamaphobic, it has one of the highest populations of Muslims in the world still!!
Most non-muslims have left Bangladesh and Pakistan cause of persecution from the muslim majority.

India is very diverse religiously speaking - Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jains, Sikhs... I can't list them all because I don't know. Read Holy Cow by Sarah MacDonald. She ends up living in India with her partner and travels about exploring the different religions practiced there. Check the synopsis on this link:

With the world becoming "smaller" due to internet and air travel, it is no wonder that there are a lot of traditional people that have changed their religion.
so a Malay - which majority would be Muslim, can be converted to say Christian maybe because he came across something or someone that allows him to understand that region better.
or Classius Clay the americian boxer became the famous Mohammad Ali. Or Cat Stevens - the singer that gives you Morning has broken - became a muslim.
A lot of mainland chinese - traditionally buddist are now christians.
there are many many more examples.

When it was owned by Brittan. the Muslim people kept harassing all the normal people. and they wouldn't join our army.
the Brits and the Hindus and Sikhs shoved them up north and that made Pakistan.

sometimes we dont realize the diversity of the world and we assume. if you breakup the word assume - its dont make an *** of u and me! so be careful. bengalis come fr the region - hence they can be of any religion - hindu, buddhist, bahai, christian, zoroastrian, jain, jewish etc. likewise in pakistan - they have the same mixture and india too. indonesia too - they have it too and pagan practices too. so pl dont be deceive by looks/region etc. check the books
