All i can tell you is. My sister older rottie had one and she doing great. Let her know you are there. Dont get discouraged in front of her. Mamma Dog that is what we call her because she was found in the middle of the interstate median in Houston,Tx with 3 pups with her. So i guess you couuld say she has been adopted. But she must have been used just for a puppy mill dog for whomever. They just chunked her out when she got old and feeble. But she has overcome so many helath problems from her ears to being very highly over wieght by at least 60lbs. Now she just had the sa,me surgies that you are having on yours. So stay focused on her and dont give up.
Dogs are just like humans really. Just sit back and think about that for a few minutes and you will see and figure out what i am talking about.
Good luck and let me know how it will turn out. I just know she will come through with flying colors.

Mammary tumors are common in female dogs, especially if they weren't spayed at six months old.

They do have a high occurance of reforming. However, if you are watchful and you keep her eating right, she will probably not die from mammary tumors. Only if the tumors spread to the bones, blood or lungs would they become terminal.

Be sure so have her vet checked regularly to catch any new tumors or recurring ones.

Good luck!

This could be fatal and I have had experience with this in the past. I had a dog that got cancer and it moved so quickly she passed on in a couple of months. I hope the surgery goes well for your dog and everything is alright. Just be prepared if something bad happens. I will pray for you and your dog.

You CAN'T know if it's benign or malignant until AFTER the biopsy!

Breast cancer kill dogs as often as humans....MORE often because most CARING owners will not force the poor animal continue to suffer through repeated surgeries & chemo.
