When i was younger it was quite pert but now it seems to be less so. I am a 30 year old guy.
Please try and keep it clean, none of the usual childish remarks please !!!!!!

Buttock clenching, and you can do it anywhere. You should see my ar*e, it's the bomb!!

Any kind of cardio is a good start. Then you could add exercises such as lunges (both forward and reverse), squats (with good posture and form of course), high step-ups (like onto a bench), leg lifts on an exercise ball, etc. These are some good ones that should get you off to a good start.

I have never seen a serious bicycle rider with an unattractive behind. Another simple exercise. stand straight good posture feet together. Use a high back chair for support. Keeping your legs straight lift one leg off the ground behind you as high as you can as if you are taking a step backwards. Feel the glutealmaximus burn baby. Repeat with the other leg. Deep squats wiil work too. Use the chair for balance and keep your shoulders square and vertical with your feet. Donot lean forward. Go as deep as you can. do all of these exercises slowly.

Lunges are great for the bum! Just remember to keep it firm whilse doing it, making sure you use the muscle to it's full capacity.

Squats....where your butt comes into contact with your calf
and no these aren't bad for your knees
Lunges
Step Ups onto a chair/bench....whatever

squats and lunges work well and running is great also if you lay on you belly and squeeze you drearier and lift one leg at a time that helps here this will give you some ideas

honestly i use my bottom step on the stairs and step up and down on it building up a pace- it really helps for your legs and bottom.
