The Lord Jesus Christ will return at the climax of a great crisis in the history of the world.
There will be global war declared against the people of God. They will be the object of the world's hate as calamities and plagues devastate the earth.
Under a false delusion, and in harmony with enforced false worship, those who do not love the Lord Jesus Christ and those who have not Christ at the center of their affections will persecute the true followers of the Lord.
The United States will lead out in implementing religious laws to meet the demands of a misled public and deceived pastors. As a result of mounting catastrophes, it will be assumed that God is displeased with our country for violating the ten commandments.
This false assumption will lead to the legislation of religious laws.
Unfortunately, this is going to be totally contrary to God's will and leads directly to the final crisis.. God never forces anyone to do anything. And since most people don't study the Bible and many don't believe in the Bible, they will be unprepared for last day events.
However, God will give a final warning against worshipping the beast and his image. It will be a warning given through people who fully reflect the image of Jesus Christ.
This is not a hard question. Go read it for yourself and see.
10 out of the 18 verses in Revelation 13 center around religious issues; (saints, blasphemy, miracles, tabernacle and worship)
No one needs a theological degree to see that the final crisis will revolve around worship.
In Revelation 14:6-11, God calls to true worship and gives a warning against false worship. Immediately after these things is seen the return of Christ in Revelation 14:14-20
It is not really a question of what will happen but whether or not a person believes what the Bible declares will happen.
Obviously, if one does not believe the Bible to be the word of God, then, they are not worrying about or preparing for this.
But those of us who do believe the Bible is the word of God know that there are developments in the direction of prophetic fulfilment almost daily now.
Ten commandments in America ???? Can't happen right ???

All we need now is general ignorance of the Bible and some major catastrophes in America and we are there.

Sorry for the long "paste", but it is the only way to answer...
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Jesus says that there will ALWAYS be wars and rumors of wars. But that they do not signal the end. But rather once the gospel has been preached worldwide, then the end will come.
So it will probably be in a time of war, because there is always a war going on. But the war is not a sign or cause of the end.

We do not know. ONLY HE KNOWS! GOD said that none will know the time of Judgment but HIM. Christ will Judge at that time whenthe "books are opened". Those of this day and age will be judged from the New Testament and those prior to Christ's resurrection will be judged from the Old Testament. The people that believe that they can tell that are NOT READING the BIBLE as they should be! Have a great week.

Notice how evolutionary theory is a meaningless bag of crap to the creationists because it's "only a theory" but weird and wonderful theories about global catastrophes are all accepted as perfectly valid. What it is to have such contempt for intellectual honesty.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5.....Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, YOU need nothing to be written to YOU. For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. But YOU, brothers, YOU are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake YOU as it would thieves,  for YOU are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness.

God will come when you die. Because that's what you expect to see. Don't wait for him to come to Earth and sort our problems out - that's our responsibility. If we got on with redressing inequality rather than waiting around for a big ol' father figure to sort the world out we'd already be one step closer, we might actually achieve something like Heaven on Earth.

Jesus (God) will return at a time when, unless He did come back, mankind would destroy the entire planet.....a time of global war.
The best estimate is that nuclear weapons would be the cause.

When he returns he will bring peace with him but there will be wars and rumours of war as a sign of the hour of his return.
