I'm having a tearful day - everything is setting me off. It is a sad day, but not as bad as it could be - probably because I am at home and I know there is nothing I need to do today. I managed to get dressed this morning, which I'm pleased with. I suffer from depression too, and its very hard to cope with - some days I just can't do anything. I hope things get better for you and that you can improve your mood. Take Care x

Well, where I am, the weather's sunny and very cold. Today is one of those days whereby I feel very quiet and introspective. Not, antisocial, really. I just don't feel like talking out loud. This is a day where I'm far more comfortable expressing myself via the written word, than with any silly babbling. As for you, I hope something really nice happens to you today. Sometimes, it's the little things which can do the most to pick us up when we're down, like an unexpected compliment or favor, a touch or a hug. Perhaps even a favorite song on the radio. Or someone simply remembering to say "please" and "thank you" That can speak volumes.

I suffer from depression too and am on medication, I feel for anyone that has it, I was told to every day the goal is to get up wash and dress. Set yourself small goals then you wont disappoint yourself and end up feeling rubbish. Try to be nice to yourself - you deserve it - treat yourself to something you really enjoy whether it be soaking in the bath or whatever it is you like to do. Sometimes we all need to do this in a world which can be cruel and ugly just put the world on hold and take some time out to make yourself feel loved. Good luck to you.

Hello, so sorry you're feeling low. Any help listening to music, writing, drawing, takeing photos?

I had severe depression a few years back. After a few weeks, i took up an allotment and now I'm even keeping chickens. I'm not a "green" girl but being outside in all elements and working with seeds, plants really helped. Why not try?

Just a word of warning tho - dont take on too big a plot!! It can be knackering!

Thinking of you..........

Listen, your question reads as if I had written it. I have been so low recently, all you can do is take one day at a time until it eases. I posted a question asking for jokes to cheer me up and I got some hilarious responses and just plain nice comments. It sounds lame but it made my day and I have felt a lot brighter since knowing that most people are kind. I hope you feel better, at least you are communicating with people (even if it's not face to face!. Take care.

Hi. I have been to work since 8am, just got home, having a quick browse through my computer, then i'm off to do some shopping. My days been good so far. Have got the rest of the afternoon just to potter about and do as i want.
I know its not nice having depression, but believe me you WILL get over it, one day something inside you will tell you that you've had enough of it ruling your life and that now you are going to fight it. I don't know when but it will. Meantime, just make sure you keep fit and healthy. Good Luck.

I suffer from depression as well. I'm really sorry to hear your day isn't so great :(

Mine's actually been the same way. I had a very miserable week.

I hope things get better soon. Try and stay positive, try and look on the bright side.

If you are suffering from true depression it is a medical condition that a doctor can treat. You should see one immediately to find out for sure.

Otherwise, you choose your mood and what kind of day you are going to have. Choose to have a good one.

similar to you mate. last week felt pretty good about myself and about life, then woke up on saturday morning feeling awful and depressed and can't fathom why!! haven't been able to shake it off since! just trying to relace neg thoughts with pos ones and be nice to myself and telling myself that this will pass just like the good feelings did last week. am off out for a run in an hour or so which should hopefully lift things up a bit. i find doing things to help others really works too. i just don't really get the chance at the mo. anyway just hang in there dude, it gets better
