Well done you for voicing your opinion. I do the same when people of certain religions try and convert me. But i am very polite, and tell them that i have my own path. If they ask what it is, i will tell them. I have had conversations with a Jehovas witness, and he listened intently, and he ended up saying that he wished there were more people like me. I am proud of who and what i am, but i am always polite about it. There is no point in being standoffish about your faith. If people want to laugh at me, so be it. If people want to convert me(there have been many tried, lol), then good luck to them because i wont budge!. It's got to the point now where people leave us alone, but no one is nasty to us, and thats great. If they come at you again with "seek jesus" just politely tell them that you have your own path and wish them all the best in what they do. It works wanders. As for the person who put "they hide thier pent under thier top", or whatever it was, why make it look like you are trying to hide something you beleive in?. Anyway.i'm babbling.lol
Blessings

Yes it has.
Often there are times in life when things annoy you.
But I keep this in mind:
I may be the only Pagan someone may meet. It is not my job to judge another's path. We all come from the Divine and we should treat each other as such. So I take the tract (or say no thank you) and deposit it in the trash. No harm was done to me or the other person.
I am too busy to hold a religious conference every time I'm confronted with a situation like this. Besides, it doesn't accomplish anything anyway.

Ya its happened. Not very often mind you. Like Nuthn said, I don't really look the part when I'm out in public. The ones who know what I am are the ones who know me well, and by then they already know I'm a gentle soul and would never try and change what and who I am.
On the other side of the coin I've had christians (and other faiths too) ask to learn more about me, what I believe, and what I "do". So it's a give and take thing.

I have had that happen several times, either at the Mall or at my home with the ones who come a knocking. When the ones come a knocking - I invite them in and ask if they would care if I shared something about my faith. Though once they see the crystals and other ritual objects, they tend to stop walking in my door.
My latest Christian to save my soul is at work, and that has proven to be a greater challenge, as it is every day all day, with the Christian music, verses hung up in her office and judgemental attitude. My patience and tolerance are being tested in great ways.

I just take the leaflet, tell them thanks and have a nice day, and then when they aren't looking throw it in the trash or give it to someone who might be interested. There's no sense in making a big stink of it. Besides I live in the Bible Belt, and down here you kinda have to go along to get along. Also, it's just not worth it.
Besides I'm secure enough in my faith to be able to look another's in the face without flinching. Plus those people are only doing what they've been taught they have to do anyway...no sense in giving them grief over something that they've had drilled into their heads over 10, 20, 30, or however many years of religious teaching. And hey I'm not against Christianity...if it works for someone, good for them. It didn't work for me, but more power to them if it makes them happy.

I am Christian and proud of it, but I also believe that you have the right to have your own beliefs. Just because I have conviction in my own set of beliefs, that does not make them any more valid than yours or anyone elses. I have known ton's of Wiccans and for the most part they are all really great people. I think that humanity must evolve to the point where we are not constantly trying to force our personal beliefs on someone else.

I've had more than one group of Christians standing on a street corner and handing out pamphlets shove one at me. One was a group of Christian teenagers trying to get me to come to one of their Bible meetings. Since I'm 31, I was just flattered that they thought I was young enough to come to their meetings.
I usually just ignore them. I don't take the handouts, I don't get into a discussion, I just say "No thanks" and keep walking. If they persist, I do tell them that they're extremely rude, destroying trees, and I'm very busy, and keep walking.

No i haven't invoked that distinctive Goddess for healing, yet I even have invoked Diana to fill me with healing capability. the two for myself, or for healing a chum issues worked out notably good. i did no longer do something extraordinarily complicated nevertheless, I in basic terms solid a circle, called on the Goddess Dianna to fill me, and then proceeded with a healing ritual. i discover that straightforward rituals have the main suitable effects for me in my view, i do unlike each and all of the pomp and situation you comprehend?

When I was Pagan I had a customer at the restaurant that I worked at complain to the manager about my pentacle ring. The manager told her that I was allowed to were what ever jewelery I wanted and left it at that. He told me the story and to expect some flack from her. The next Wednesday night she came up to me and asked if I went to church. Which I did on occasion with my mother in law so I said, "Yes, I go to Hales Chapel. What about you?" Yes, that is the actual name of the church. She never bothered me after that.

Actually it did happened to me, I was walking to my friends house with my Scott Cunningham book (my friend needed to borrow it) and this lady who apparently was workig out comes to me and she was like "sweetheart, does your parents know that youre befriending the devil?" and I just kept on walking, same in school they asked me if I summoned Satan, and stuff like that. The main thing is to ignore those people they are so closed minded they wont even care if you give them a logical answer.
