Explain to her how much better dog food is for the dog, and if you both want your dog around for a long time it's best to stop feeding it human food.

How about actually feeding your dog a high quality diet that is RAW MEAT and Mashed Veggies and raw fleshy bones.
'Dog food' such as canned food and supermarket brands are junk food for dogs.....how about you follow in the foot steps of your wife and provide a well balanced and healthy diet for your dog.

Call your vet and see if they have any pamphlets on the dangers of feeding dogs table scraps/human food. Maybe if your wife reads it in black and white and sees tangable proof, she will stop. Some people are like that and won't just take a spouse or family member's word for it. They need actual proof or an opinion from a professional before they listen.

Why would you not want to feed the dog meat? It's its natural diet!! And what are you other answerers thinking - dog food is healthier?!

If you have kids, give the kids ice cream and not the balanced meals they should eat. Kidding aside, tell her she's hurting the dog. But then, I'm sure you've already done that. This is really kind of a marriage problem when you cannot come to an agreement.

Tell her she can sleep in the dogs kennel if she continues to spoil him, dogs can become very overweight by eating lots of meat and the food you want to give him is packed full of the nutrients and things he needs anyway so really she is doing your dogs health no favours here either!

PUT THE DOG ON CHAIN WHEN EVER YOUR WIFE IS PROVIDING FOOD FOR THE FAMILY. AND MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH DOG-FOOD FOR THE DOG
