How much and what was the breeder feeding? A pup that young needs to eat at least 3 times a day. The amount will be based on how kuch the pup weighs now, what you are feeding and how large the dog will be at maturity. One half cup high quality kibble 3x a day is a safe place to start. Take the pup for your vet to check over. The vet can give better recommendations based on what he or she sees.

Gosh, he's awfully young to be away from his Mom and litter mates... But he should be eating a moist (canned) puppy food 3-4 times a day, app 1/2 a cup to 3/4 a cup depending on his size and weight. In another 2-3 weeks, you can start giving him some dry puppy food and cutting back a bit on the moist stuff. For now, though, he needs the extra moisture.

it depends on your dogs weight, weigh yourself then pick up your dog and get weighed again, this will give you your dogs weight, there should be a food to weight table on the side of your puppy food normally the daily amount,i split this amount into four feeds for my pup and as she got older reduced the feeds and increased the amounts, good luck and enjoy your new puppy

I agree with what W. says. Check with your vet. The thing with dogs is that they will eat whatever is put in front of them even if it is too much. They will eat until they get sick. Good luck with new pup! He sounds like a cutie!

How healthy you want the dog to be depends on how much you feed him. If you feed him a nutritious food he will be healthy. if you feed him non challantly, you will get a shabby looking dog. the choice is yours.
