Unfortunately you are considered a "minor" However if you can show just cause as to why you should not live with your mother ( i.e. she is emotionally abusive ) and have a Children and Family Service Agency representative support you, often a child who is deemed competent and aware, which you certainly are at age 16, you would probably be allowed to live with your father full time. Also your father would have to agree for an intervention by a state agency or equivalent, such as the one I mentioned, and of course agree to be your full time custodial parent.

At 16 you can decide where you want to live, your mum could report you missing to the police and social services but they would not go against your wishes unless you were in danger.

Good Luck

I'm going to let my kids read your dilemma?
Come and live with me!
At 16 and living in England you can leave home but
you are not allowed to drink, drive or (get married) without
your parents consent.
Why is he saying if your mom comes for you you have to
go with her? Have they discussed it? Make your parents
aware of what YOU want. You are a young adult and still
need your parents guidance. They must listen to you. It
makes me so sad when two people that have a made a
human life together can just do what they want to do without
thought for their child. Sorry I am going on a bit - but I would
do anything for my children. Their happiness comes first. I
do not want to be too hard on your parents - but they are the
adults here and obviously it is a worry for you. Good Luck.

its up to your parents really. couldn't you live between homes such as one week with each parent. I know its hard but what would you rather coming to an agreement or dragging it through court costing both of your parents alot of money and stress. Hope all works out ok

If you're not 18 yet, you have to choose between your parents.

AT 16 YOU CAN DECIDE FOR YOURSELF, EVEN AT AN EARLY AGE YOUR WISHES HAVE TO BE LISTENED TOO.
