My friend has an RE lesson tomorrow and needs to dicuss and teach revelations from holy books. Any ideas because she is totally stuck - however not the qu'ran cos thats next ter, thanks.

You can use the Bible. Show that the Old testament predicted Messiah, and that He came as Jesus in the New Testament. It predicted when and where He was born. And look at Revelation, it tells of the coming future, as well as the signs given in the gospels.

The name of the Almighty is revealed (YHVH) the name of the Savior (YAHOSHUA) The day the Creator set apart (the seventh -Saturday) You can talk about revelation in Scripture all day, and not get to any accepted by churchianity.

Sorry but your question is not really clear to me.
Revelation in the Bible is God communicating to mankind ie God speaking His truth to man. Prophecy is man speaking God's truth (revelation he received) to man. Revelation was done in various ways throughout History. In the garden of Eden God walked with man and talked directly to him. In Abraham's day God would come as an angel, and speak to him just as a man would. God would speak in visions, in dreams and sometimes as with Mose face to face. When the Law was given God revealed Himself as a flaming fire on top of the mountain. Throughout the rest of the OT God normally spoke to his prophets through visions. God also spoke through "inspiriation" to men who wrote the Bible both in the OT and the NT. In the NT a whole new change took place and spoke to men in a whole new way through the Son of God who came as a man and spoke directly to humans, explained exactly what God was doing and answered man's questions. At the end of he NT divine revelation was ended in the last few verses of the Bible. Today revelation from God comes to us in a written form called the Bible.

Your friend has to state that religion is a farce and just fiction. and ask all listeners to renounce there stupidity and get into the world of reality.

try baghavad gita or god of buddha or zoroastrian practices or bahai revelations or the beliefs of the first nation people. its in the books! dont be lazy, start researching....

tell them the truth, the bible was written by man much of it to control others in to following the church, the truth is deep within the bible, so teach them how to find it, or better still teach them to have faith in God, and not books
