I heard that people outside of North America have turned away from God, which is why more people are liberal and are for abortion and don't believe in the death penalty.

So, do you believe in the THEORY of evolution?

Are you from America?

Also, one more thing, if you do believe in this THEORY, how can you explain the IRREDUCIBLE complexity?

How do you explain the motor in a cell's flagellum?

You CAN'T.

One has to conclude from the lack of proof that evolution is NOT true.

One HAS to conclude that because we have NOT seen evolution actually happening in our every day lives that it is NOT true.

No I am not a Christian. I believe in evolution like I believe in gravity. I am a US citizen.

No one in the ID camp has provided even a working definition or irreducible complexity that would lend itself to testing by the scientific method. This much was admitted by Behe in Dover.

Don't look for science to prove your god. It's not what science does.

And next time you want to argue against evolution, bring something new to the table. Flagella have been explained by evolutionary theory and are not irreducibly complex.

"I heard that people outside of North America have turned away from God, which is why more people are liberal and are for abortion and don't believe in the death penalty."
As if it's SO WRONG to believe in abortion and not adopt the death penalty.
You're pissing on your own foot.

"So, do you believe in the THEORY of evolution?"
There's nothing to believe in. I accept it as fact, as everyone else should.

"Are you from America?"
The USA? Yes.

"Also, one more thing, if you do believe in this THEORY, how can you explain the IRREDUCIBLE complexity?"
Irreducible complexity is the crux of the argument for people who advocate intelligent design. There is no such thing as 'irreducible complexity'... it is nothing more than willfull ignorance.

"How do you explain the motor in a cell's flagellum?

You CAN'T."
Because I'm not a scientist, skippy. Can you?

"One has to conclude from the lack of proof that evolution is NOT true."
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

I'm getting tired of the rampant stupidity.

The theory of evolution underpins all of modern biological science. Science is a matter of theories, that we use to explain the world in which we live and predict what is likely to happen as a result of certain actions. For example, Newtonian mechanics tells us how objects are likely to move. Newtonian mechanics is a theory. Nuclear physics is really a theory and helps us understand and produce atomic bombs.

I gather you are not a trained scientist.

No. Yes. Yes.

Irreducible complexity is an oxymoron. If something is complex, that means that it is made up of much simpler parts that can work independently and are interchangeable.

Also, evolution isn't a theory, it's fact. Darwin's theory of evolution consisted of natural selection and adaptation. Evolution is fact, Darwin's theory is still a theory, but is growing in supporting evidence

You just answered your own question .

yes evolution is a theory and a fact. How can that be ? You look up what a theory is defined as in science. There is electrical theory too, but I suppose as you are using your computer you have no problems with that theory.

If you do not understand science, why make silly comments about it. Wouldn't it be better to learn something about it ?

If you believe that evolution is not true, then you must not be very well educated in the biological sciences. Nothing in nature contradicts evolution.

The majority of Americans and the majority of Christians. I was taught that evolution was true in aChristian Hisgh School and a Christian University.

It is really just a fringe group of Christian Extremists that take Genesis literally. The interesting thing I find is that those who believe that Genesis is literal do not believe in transubstantiation. The iriony that they believe that God talks in allegory when he says "this is my body" but must speak literally when he says that the world was created in seven days is astounding.

Putting theory in capital letters-that really challenges the FACT of evolution doesn't it. As it happens evolution is true-it isn't even a matter of conjecture- and as it happens your objection is meaningless. You lot have to start dealing with reality-evolution of species isn't going away no matter how much creationists dislike it.

Agnostic, evolution, America
Abortion and death penalty- both yes.

We HAVE seen evolution. We're watching gorillas evolve. We're watching them pick up tools and commit acts of domestic violence; look it up. Furthermore, human beings are different than their were originally; there's proof that we're getting taller and we don't need our appendixes anymore... EVOLUTION.

More complex evolution takes place over millions of years, not the few hundred years thats scientific research and record has existed.

I am not Christian. I do not believe in evolution as though it were a religion, but I do agree with the theory which supports tons of evidence and proofs that only a blind ignorant *** like yourself refuses to see. I am from America.

No. Yes. No.

And no, one does not have to conclude from your lack of knowledge in it, that evolution doesn't exist. It's a Scientific Theory. When you learn the difference between that and a regular theory, then you can talk.

Edit : Since Evolution takes many many generations to show any noticeable differences in a species, we do not have to conclude it isn't happening just because we can't see creatures magically transforming in front of our eyes. That's just being willfully ignorant. Read a damned science book and stop making a fool of yourself.
