Education is about having choices. Without an education, my choices are really limited. There really aren't that many jobs that I can get, and if I lose my job, or my career becomes obsolete, I may not have skills to fall back on. Education means I can do jobs that don't require an education ... if I want to. There's no law that says a PhD can't wash dishes for a living if they want to. However, a PhD means that if I get tired of washing dishes, I have another career option.

Education - There is a big misconception that only if you have graduation degree or if you are a Doctor or a Software Eng you are educated.i am not a graduate yet i work for a leading firm here in the uae.Education is something that you learn both from books and outside the book.books only give you theoretical knowledge of a subject.Hey!But com on, you are not going use things like PMNO4 AND AMNO4 in your day to day life.What i am trying to tell you is - what you learn from your personal experiences is the real education as it mends and folds the way you live your life.In other words books give you the point wise format of doing something but then what you do otherwise with your life is from your own book.you write the rules and you are the sole follower of it.that's to me is Education.There are many big names that have only been educated through life's experience.they do not have a college degree yet they have made a name in this world.you don't have to be doctor to be number one.if you believe you are work for it you can be.you don't have to be world's number one but you can be number one in your way.

Education is the movement from darkness to light.

Never seem wiser, nor more learned, than the people you are with. Wear your learning, like your watch, in a private pocket: and do not merely pull it out and strike it; merely to show that you have one.
* Lord Chesterfield
Examinations are formidable even to the best prepared, for the greatest fool may ask more than the wisest man can answer.
* Charles Caleb Colton
Knowledge has outstripped character development, and the young today are given an education rather than an upbringing.

If education is always to be conceived along the same antiquated lines of a mere transmission of knowledge, there is little to be hoped from it in the bettering of man's future. For what is the use of transmitting knowledge if the individual's total development lags behind?
* Maria Montessori
Education costs money, but then so does ignorance.
* Sir Claus Moser
To observe people in conflict is a necessary part of a child's education. It helps him to understand and accept his own occasional hostilities and to realize that differing opinions need not imply an absence of love.

Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten.
* B. F. Skinner
Every act of conscious learning requires the willingness to suffer an injury to one's self-esteem. That is why young children, before they are aware of their own self-importance, learn so easily; and why older persons, especially if vain or important, cannot learn at all.
* Thomas Szasz
Learning carries within itself certain dangers because out of necessity one has to learn from one's enemies.

Children have a natural antipathy to books--handicraft should be the basis of education. Boys and girls should be taught to use their hands to make something, and they would be less apt to destroy and be mischievous.

Education gives you wisdom. Wisdom is nothing but having information. You will have large information in the back of your mind so that you can analyze and act accordingly. You know where to respond, how to respond and what to respond in right situations.
For people's quote, there are all over google. Search for "quotes" or "proverbs" and you will get plenty of them.
