If your driving a lot, then Annapolis Valley is beautiful. Right in Annapolis Royal there is lots to see, and your close to Digby ( do not speed through Digby....you will get a ticket!) Go to Kentville and view the Bald Eagles. There is a look off that is nice. Spring is a much nicer time to travel, but I guess that is not an option?

If your around Halifax, you must eat at Steak & Stein. Good food and value. Get the Derby style steak.

The Alexander Keiths tour at the brewery is an absolute must. So much fun and cheap too. All ages can go.

The dinner theatre is good too. Cape Breton style entertainment and great food.

Peggy's Cove has always been a draw for scenery, but be very careful in winter. The rocks can be hazardous even in summer, we have lost a few tourists when the waves come in!
Another scenic drive is toward Lunenburg. Again, better in the spring, but still very beautiful if you want to see small fishing coves and towns.

Enjoy your trip!

I personally have a love for the ocean, and no place was better for that than Digby, Nova Scotia. The Bay of Fundy is well known for their Scallops. If you do get a chance to get there, then don't miss Point Primm. It is a lighthouse on a cliff where you can see everything for miles.

There's lots to see there, but going in the winter could be a BIG mistake. The east coast of Canada normally has very harsh winters (cold, a lot of snow). I think it hasn't been as bad as normal, so far this winter, but its just a matter of time.....

Anyway, this website has some things to do in NS:
