do try to live the life?

I'm sorry someone judged you, I didnt and wont

Please dont lump us all together, I do not lump all of you together. I believe in Christ, and I respect that many of you do not.

I think that the words of Jesus are among the wisest I have read.
I wish that all people who call themselves Christian would live by the words of Jesus, but most who I know do not.

That has never been the complaint.

It's how some Christians, unfortunately the most vocal ones, go about expressing that 'love.' By telling people that they are sinners, going to burn in hell, etc. That's not a love I want any part of.

Love is about respecting other people enough to let them make their own decisions. And really listening to what they say, rather than assuming you already know what they think.

I know Christians who evidence that kind of love. They are fantastic people. Christianity isn't supposed to be about judgemental self-righteousness. I wish more Christians understood that.

Do you mean "real" Christians like the first one who answered your question? The one who said nonchristians don't have Godly love? She is the reason christians get bashed. Millions and millions of people who are not christians have Godly love for their neighbors, and try to live by this universal tenet. It is not a christian precept. It is universal. Muslim scripture, Hebrew scripture, Buddhist scripture, Vedic scripture all have this instruction.

considering most people dont love and cherish themselves, I am not sure this is a good way to live. So many people undervalue their own lives by smoking, drinking, eating unhealthy foods, etc.

I try to love my neighbor as I love myself. Humans aren't perfect and nonChristians don't have the Godly love it takes to love a stranger.
