a couple of pokerer sites have closed like Jetsetpoker and other will not take netteller from US players

There are a lot of people that want there to be online poker, there are a small number that want it to be banned, and an infinite number more that don't care. However, the small number that want it banned had friends (or, more accurately, one friend - Bill Frist) in Congress. He had the gambling bill attached to the port security bill last fall, and of course no one is voting against port security.

If you're going to play, play PokerStars because they are the most financiallys stable. However, not only did they lose Neteller but they also lost their eCheck processor. It's much more difficult to move money in and out.

They are making it harder and harder to gamble online simple because they have not found a way to tax it. Like anything else in this country if they can't tax it they outlaw it.

Why else do you think that cigarettes and alchohol are still legal, even they kill more people every year than ANY other disease?!?!?

The govt makes BILLIONS in taxes on it and making these illegal would be devastating for our already crippled budget.

So wake up America! Write your congressman and senator and DEMAND that they listen to the voice of the people!

Because somewhere along the line the Americans decided it was ok to own guns but not to gamble.

Because the Gov't is not receiving tax money on it. Once it is taxed by the Fed, it will be legal.
