Almost every question I see in this section seems to be fishing for a particular answer, instead of the right answer. Are any of the question askers serious?

Red Queen you say you ask serious questions, but in the Garden of Eden question you choose a joke for the best answer.

To the person who thinks this question isn't serious, I am tired of crafting long and serious answers to give people, only to have a joke choosen as a best answer.

I am not here to get best answer either, athough it is nice, If someone with a decent answer beats me to best answer I don't mind. I just hate crafting a good response, just to see that the questioner wasn't interested in a good answer. They only wanted responses from jokers. And best answer is how I know what the person took seriously.

Friend, I have only ask about 12 questions in this site, & they was honest & sincere questions, I mainly just answer questions. I have to admit that about 99% of the questions ask here is a question without sincereity & honesty, But only to agagtate, Agravate, & to try to twist people minds around to agree with the asker, Friend, I can not answer a question without it being a correct answer, The same with a question. I have been on this site going on 7 months & only asked 12 questions, I have been serving God for 37 yrs. Many questions don't even deserve an answer, If people just don't answer those cruel questions, then that agatator will leave. Thanks For your concern

Personally, I'm not here to get "best answer".
I'm here to honestly answer questions about my religion, sometimes answer other religious questions that I know something about, to give my opinion on some religious issues, and so on.
Some folks are here for agreement with their views. Some folks are here to mock. Some are here to evangelize.
~shrug~
If your motivation is to get "best answer" you're going to find yourself getting upset over what is, in the larger scheme of things, a pretty trivial issue.
I'm not saying that's an unworthy reason to be here, but it will lead to a certain amount of frustration.
Beyond that, though - what *IS* the "right" answer to any question about something as subjective as religion?
And isn't it an ironic thing that each of us feeling that our answer is more "right" than others' is exactly the problem with most religions in the first place?

I think most of the askers are serious. (Although some of the jokers will ask their limit on a given night, but that's easy to ignore.)
The problem is that many of them aren't serious about listening to other points of view. Read the comments after their Best Answers. The extent of the narrow-mindedness evidenced is frightening.

Check my q&a. You'll find I ask questions that I am genuinely seeking an answer to, or trying to find what other people think on a particular subject. There are many serious questions asked, you simply need to look for them.

Rarely. Most of the questions are geared towards either trying to get a rise out of one group or another or in using it as a soapbox. There are rarely any serious questions and serious answers are even harder to find. It's too bad, though, because this could be an interesting category.

I try to craft questions to make people think, most of the time. I do on occasion toss in a silly question.
I'm fishing for answers, but it's not always the answer people think it is.

In fact i have been asking myself this question. It is a big shame that some would not allow us to use this section to improve in knowledge by asking in good faith questions about religions other than theirs. This would have been a way to ensure greater peace because the more you understand about one another the less you insult one another.

Some sound reasonable to a certain extent, but others are actually based on certain beliefs which who ever asks it wish to direct people's attention to his way of thinking...
Other questions are really ridiculous, and shouldn't be asked the way they are asked...
