He gave His all

What do you give in return, love or contempt?

I have seen alot of contempt tonight. Even if you dont believe, how can you stomach it to say hateful things about Christ?

Why do Christians constantly fish for contempt?

You bring it on yourselves, you know, with what HAS to be deliberate ignorant arrogance, and then brag about how the contempt proves your point. At best, Christians are equal partners in this. At worst, you're deliberate instigators of it. If some of the less mature among us rise to the bait, that doesn't absolve you of blame for casting the line.

As a Muslim, I don't believe Christ gave himself for me or that he was crucified. But I do respect him and accept him as one of God's respectable prophets who called people to the right path (Only worship your creator and none but him).

The reason I said that Christ did not give himself for me, or you or as a matter of fact any other human is that God is just. He will never punish anyone person for some else's sins.

If you logically think about it you will also accept this. How could a human being accept the notion that he will be punished for his brother's sins or vice-versa?

Peace be upon Eessa (Jesus) Musa (Moses), Mohammad and all other prophets sent by God to guide us. And may God guide us the righteous path.

Actually according to 'your' book, Jesus gave his life for the children of Israel not for everyone. And I try not to say anything bad about Jesus as I think his word was one of peace. However, I find my life's path is not one of following the teachings of Abraham as I do not feel I should follow a God whom would 'tests' the faith of his followers by telling them to kill their offspring. If your God truly knows what lays within the hearts of men and women He wouldn't have to ask this, even if it is just to test someone.

I choose to follow Wicca because it teaches me that I control my life and I have the power to change that which I see is wrong in the world. I do not feel that the meek shall inherit the Earth but that we all should work with the Earth to heal Her so that She may still provide for us all. Any contempt I show isn't for Jesus but for the teachings of a Church that has the feeling that it may do as it wishes with the Earth and someone else will fix it someday. We all need to be aware that our Earth is alive and She will not put up with us harming Her for much longer.

Blessed Be )O(

As I read the gospels, I find the words of Jesus to be among the wisest I have ever read. I try to do the things that he said to do. I wish that those who call themselves Christian would do the same, but most I know do not.

I feel irritation at people seeming to need to evangelise here. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO TRY AND "SAVE" ME. I don't say hateful things about christ. Do you say hateful things about the flying spaghetti monster? No, because you don't believe it exists.

How do you propose to convert others to your faith with insults?
One must mature to where he doesn't take everything as a personal matter. All the anger, skepticism, and ridicule are
only reactions because the Adversary, Satan, has them living in fear.

It's kind of like saying hateful things about Zeus. It's easy to stomach because I don't believe in him. Thus, "even if you don't believe..." is clearly the hole in your argument.

What have you done for "Bob"? Unlike Jesus, J.R. "Bob" Dobbs doesn't ask for your eternal devotion, and doesn't care if you indulge yourself in worldly pleasures. All "Bob" wants is thirty bucks. Once. No tithes, no obedience, just a one-time payment for Eternal Salvation!

Who was Christ? I see no mention of anyone by this name in the bible. Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus son of Joseph, but no one called Mr or Mrs Christ!

I don't know how people can be nasty about such a kind person - but people are. Good people get ridiculed for being perfect, because jealousy corrupts those who are lesser, and because they cannot be good, they try to convince others to be like them.

Now when you come across the greatest person to have ever lived, think about the hostilty people have against him, jsut for being good, for not being beligerent, for being kind and compassionate.

on the day of judgement it will be strange to see tem getting judged by the same stick they judged others. and then tehy will ask, 'i thought you were compassionate
