I would hope it is not christians who are doing that..that is NOT abuse..that is a reasonable question...Those "christians who think that is abuse are probably the self-righteous, egotistical, hateful kind that are found in every chat room..who think all questions should be perfect.
Maybe we all might be surprised by what is said to us on judgement day.
God Bless.

I never report peaceful people who have serious questions like that, I report hate mongers (not by the PC definition) The ones that I perceive as being a real threat, including words like death in their post. I also report people who link to nasty pictures.
As for your question about Jesus, I am not offended it is a valid question. In the New Testament in several places refers to the laws the Jews had to follow and recalls that they were never able to follow the Law 100% of the time and ask if why should the Gentiles be held to a level of accountability that not even the Jews could follow. Also some of the Jewish laws and customs were in place as a foreshadowing of the Messiah, why continue with those customs if the Messiah had already arrived?
But I sympathize with your point, I have admiration toward the Jewish people, and If I had access to a Messianic Jewish Temple
I would probably be visiting it on a regular basis.
I am sorry I did not include any Bible verses in this response I haven't done a proper study on this question. Thank you for giving me a great idea for my website.

I agree. How often have we see the 'Atheists, how will you feel when...?' Your question isn't any different from that. Well, maybe missing the judgemental tone. ;-)
As for the 'good works' aspect, that might be a part of it. I think the 'being persecuted in Jesus' name' is a bigger part though. Fundies hear it so often, and it's valued so highly as proof of their faith and worth, that they find it wherever they can.
It's just their way, and they clearly have no intention of even considering changing it.

No, it doesn't make them good in the eyes of God. But you have to admit, there are plenty of people who post questions for provocation alone. They don't have a legitimate question, they want to provoke a response. For people who are ready to provide serious questions and answers, the provocations can get a little old, because they are specifically targeted at Christians, rarely other types of beliefs.

It's "does/make," not, "is/makes." That can get you reported! :)
And no, I don't think Jesus wants us to deny people the right to ask questions. He is the Truth, so if someone is really looking for the Truth they will find Him.

maybe you're talking about Bible-fundamentalists. it just doesn't appeal to them, so maybe that's the reason why.
