At the last wedding I went to, the colour scheme was navy blue and fuchsia pink (navy corset style dresses with pink waistbands). Doesn't sound that great written down but it looked fab. The bride was in white of course.

I got married in November and I used Blue and Yellow. Yellow Roses and Blue delphinium.
All of the autumn colors look great together. Yellows, reds, oranges, browns. As a florist for many years we always loved it when bride chose these and then hit it with a splash of bright purple like using some deep purple statice to go with it all. It turns out magnificent.

Even though you have plenty of time for colours, I am supposing if you live in America the best thing to do that would really enhance you wedding is to think about location and season. Whether it is garden, beach, church or house. Autumn, spring, summer or winter. Choose a colour to match that.

if that's a color scheme that floats your boat then it's all up to you. It wouldn't be my choices of colors---but if they make you happy then go for it.
People spend to much time, money and effort into planning these elaborate weddings. spending all that effort , money and time and investing it would be better. Simplify your life by visiting VEGAS---cheaper---Have a huge reception ----instead---you won't have to worry about the color schemes then!
