I have an eight month old cockerel that hatched last year. I need a different cockerel so we can hatch more chicks out (without them being inbred!) and wondered if anyone knew where I could find one. He's a Rhode Island Red so any cockerel would need to be of a similar size. I live in Yorkshire and I'm not going to eat him (I know what you lot are like!)

Why don't you try some breeders on the net. I've been looking for birds tonight & alot of different people are swapping birds.

what about posting something in your local feed store and going right up to the counter and asking the person behind the counter.. they are usually freindly and chatty.. they might just even know someone!!...good luck..smile

edit: cockerel is not a cockatiel its a rooster..smile

I am sure that you can find private breeders in your area. Check the paper for people who are selling tiels, a lot of breeders advertise in the paper. Also there are a lot of resources on line.

Good luck!

Look for farms, or egg-sellers. Also, put up adds in local shops, possibly a newspaper.
