The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) has launched a new website, www.gateendrivereducation.com for teens and parents to obtain information about the changes in Georgia's driver education requirements. The website includes an on-line question and comment tool for specific inquiries. DDS has also notified approximately 11,000 teens via mail who will become eligible January, 2007 and after to ensure that they are aware of the new requirements

Go there and it will have all the information you need. I wish you well.

Not sure about GA, but TX has a "parent training" package that parents can use to complete the training. It's not cheap, but it is generally cheaper than going to a commercial driving school.

Most states with advanced training requirements like TX require any training to meet state specifications. You'll usually find links to approved training methods on the DMV website or can get a list of approved training courses and materials from the local DMV office.
