India to-day have enough consumer so, economically it can be done but in countries like USA, France and Japan they are highly subsidised by the government, true bullet train do not exist any were in the world.

At sea level it would have 700 MPH speed, slightly sub-sonic. Super structure like right of way and tracks, bridges, station. ... will need building. Most actually fly few micro inches or even a millimetre over the tack, and track keep them on course.

A jet can do 400 MPH require only a air strip to land and take off, a building to house terminal. Buses can run from centre of the town to airport and terminal can all but eliminated. Same system can be adopted for sub sonic air craft like old 707.

East to west India is only 1500 Mile or so. North to south 3500 or so.
