Oh no, not at all. They are an aggressive and active dog, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Get them good training and a lot of exercise (that's a good outlet for the aggressive tendencies, just like a kid being aggressive about sports) and you'll be fine. They are sweet animals and very great pets, as long as you go in well informed of the breed and know them inside and out.

These dogs are great family pets, as long as the temperament of the dog itself is right. Some folks breed these dogs to enhance their aggression, so research the breeder. Before bringing a dog like this into my house, I would make100% certain that the dog is completely non-aggressive. They become dangerous when people either train them to act on their aggression or when people leave them to their own devices. Any dog from any breed can become a problem when left to it's own devices!
Pitbulls are not bad dogs. They are powerful dogs who often fall into the wrong hands.

There are no "bad breeds", just bad raising. With a normal environment, a pitbull will be as sweet as a retriever....that being said, I wouldn't bring one of unknown raising into a home with children. Better to start with a puppy, since there are bad people out there mistreating this breed, for their fighting capabilities.

They can. It is how they are raised Yes they do have that pitbull tendencies but to let you know this is more on other dogs. If you are thinking about having little one then you have to talk with the dog first and let them know. I know it sounds nuts but they can feel what you feel and this will help they understand that they must be ready.

No they are no where near as bad as people say they are. the real problem (and this will sound weird, i am warning you) is that they are all heart. Their main goal in life is to please their owner, and that can range as far as protecting the children, to taking a bullet, that's just how loving they are. It's just that the wrong people found that out first and used it in a negative way.

Pit Bulls are awesome family pets. They are loyal and loving to there pack. That is not the problem.
The problem comes to people and dogs that do not belong to the pack. These dogs are trained to kill other dogs. Not to get them to submit but to kill. When this desire to kill goes from dogs to humans we see the results (time and again). These dogs are dangerous but loyal and loving to there owners.
They clearly should be banned.
