That sounds about right to me & i think even more than that cuz if u divide 35 by 50 states, it would be around 700,000 per State of illegals which does not sound right cuz my State of Virgina has at least 2 mil.
If Amnesty law should pass, how in hell would the USCIS be able to cop with all of them & the legal ones who followed the law & waiting in line ?

This is your Government at work,or not working at all.How all these people got in to this Country without anyone doing anything about it is a disgrace. Both Federal and local Government is to blame. Its been happening for decades apparently, and Both parties are to blame. If your going to let them stay I say put a alien tax on each one and make em pay a large financial penalty to remain this country.

theres alot more than that. The main reason people are not granted citizenship is that millions of dollars each year are paid into things like social security by illegal immigrants with fake names. If they were citizens they could claim the social security. obviously we should have no boreders. they are pointless. and everyone in america is an immigrant or only a few generations past an immigrant accept maybe some native americans and puritans.

I would assume the number is more like 35 mil come every half decade

first all of all do you believe everything you hear? and some states might not even have 2 million people in the whole state.....like wyoming and montana and some of them don't even have 700,000.....and uscis can't even cope now...and we tried to do things right ......we spent almost 7 years and counting traveling expense around 15,000 to 20,000 thousand to be told my husband is denied for 10 years for crossing the border illegally.......not counting the lost wages for where he had to spend 9 months in mexico to be told that.....and how do you put a price missing the birth of your child?...so the following the law and waiting in line doesn't get you anywhere ...oh_hell

Never trust the BBC.

Never.

They are shameless in the low quality of information they put out and the obvious far left bias.

US authorities estimate closer to 11 million.

it is poor! And the present insult to harm is my district's Chris Cannon (R UT-3) has cooked up this "AgJobs" bill which will grant for tens of millions of *new* "shopper workers" and amnesty for tens of millions more suitable already right here. Insultingly adequate, his homepage is going on about keeping the country from illegals, blah blah blah. it is repugnant.

Could you give a link to where the BBC said that? The only one I could find said twelve million - http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_6220000/newsid_6229300/6229327.stm?bw=bb&mp=rm

But of course, people just believe whatever they want to believe.

Please! Count the undocumented? How can anyone do that?

I can't believe the people commenting on this. Try cleaning your own yards and picking up after yourselves and see what happens!
