We both had said that we wanted children. Is it wrong to have one with him?

You don't state your age, which makes a difference...at least to me. Children need two parents, together and unified. You don't mention marriage. I do not think it a wise move to have children out of wedlock. It's not good for the child, nor the person stuck raising the child, mostly alone, and financial support undetermined. Some men define themselves by their ability to reproduce and/or control other people. I'd wonder about this in him since you don't say how long you've known him. At any rate, I vote 'no'.

No. Not if you both are sure that is wha tyou want. Afterall it is a life long commitment to raising another human being.
You also have to consider if you both will marry or not and whether you will simply have the child and raise him or her together. You have to work out how the finances involved in raising the child will be worked out and so on.
I think its great. I would love to have a child in a few years and I keep threatening my best friend that if I am single at the time then I want him to be the adoptive parent to a child with me...ofcourse he refuses;) but I can work on that ...lmao

A silly immature way to initiate a sex act. Isn't that the silliest conversation you ever had?? Get into a relationship with a real nice loving man, decide when you want to have kids, then have them. You just don't make one for the hell of it. I'm sure you realize the 18 year committment a child is. Sorry, neither of you sound ready.

if i was 33 &had no man in my life that proposal could be quite appealing to me, considering that my biological clock will be melfunctioning by then. But you'd have to cover all ur bases:

1) will we both be able to provide for the child
2) will the child have a loving home & not be effected emotionally when older
3) if one of u gets married, what will the terms of child rerearing be
4) are u both physically healthy
5) how will u go about it
6) how will ur desion effect ur friends &family
7) might this effect ur friendship in the future

etc etc think it through carefully

he is just on the fun kind of men who enjoy and let the female bear the burden. irresponsible only fun no part in upbringing and sharing except his sperm and then he may blackmail you. be careful ask him to marry you if its OK by you then have all the kids you two want. or else stay away from him.

He's the person you agree with most; he's the most similar, politically, and you have the most respect for him over everybody else in the world, because you chose him as your 'best' friend. Who else would be a better choice???

Ask yourself, why is he my best friend, if you answer cause you love to be with him, then take a chance, but dont rush into baby thing, see if the relationship works first. it should, just dont change.

Are you ready for "marriage"? or it sounds he wants to have a serious-steady relationship with you.
