Can I hire you to be a hitman/woman. I'll give you £10 for every junkie bawbag you pop off in the East-end.

If you dont fancy that try

They help you get the training your after.Only thing is you have to come from the east-end for them to help you but there are equivalent places all around Glasgow.

What a lovely thing to want to help others. I believe the first thing you must do is go back to school. To do this kind of work will require a degree in social work. To make sure you want to do this you could find an organization in your area that works with drug addicts and volunteer your time. In the mean time go for any job that involves contact with a variety of people and that is willing to work around your school schedule. Soon you will be prepared to work in your chosen field and between the volunteer work and your work place experience you will be a very desired employee. Good luck. The world needs more people like you.

I think you are very brave to want to do such a worthwhile job. Try asking in the drug treatment centres themselves if they need volunteers - they might just offer you filing and making coffee, but it would be a foot in the door, it would give you an idea of exactly what goes on, and they would be able to sugges the best path to take for your chosen career. Best of luck, we could do with more people like you in the world.

if you have the right aptitude for this sort of work i'm sure people will be desperate to employ you! have you considered doing some voluntary work to get some experience and see if it's what you expected before training etc?

have a look in your local phone book and see what organisations are in your area then give them a ring and see if they've got any vacancies / if it would be possible to do some voluntary work with them.

good luck with it - i hope that you find what you are looking for x

Try the Job Corps or the Peace Corps or try some volunteer work at such agencies.

To be honest I've never heard of someone wanting to do that for a living. It is not nice work you know. Why do you aspire to do that? There are much more pleasant ways of helping people. If you work for a charity organisation (paid of course) you are helping other people per se.
