I have psoriasis too and its not very nice. If you just search on the web for psoriasis there are quite a few associations that give advice. There is no cure for it. There are a lot of different causes for it, one of them is stress, but some people have sun related psoriasis, for instance mine tends to clear a lot in winter. Its not necessarily washing powders etc.

You will need to do your research on this one!
Find something that is as natural and organic as you can.
Generally it is not something you will find on a supermarket shelf.
Surf the internet. You can get natural washing powder and shower gels that do not irritate skin conditions.
Avoid anything that is chemically man made such as SLS.
I have inherited this condition through my family and this is the best option that has helped me.
Do a search on such things as "certified organic body wash"
Stress can also irritate it, so try relaxation as well.

the best thing for washing up is gloves. i have eczema and it is really hard to find something that doesn't irritate so it's best to use gloves for washing up and food prep. also just quickly, they've just found a link between skin conditons such a psoriasis, eczema and dermatitus and washing new born babies with anything else but water in the first 30 days. Should just be straight water for 30 days then you can use other baby washes etc.

May have to try a few, which will take a long time. I assume she washes by hand, so why not invest in a washing machine then there will be no hand contact with the powder.
Is the psoriasis on her hands or her whole body???
Maybe you mean residue in her clothes?? your question is not clear! Then you will have to ensure that all clothing is well rinsed.

You dont treat psoriasis with washing powder!
Consult with a dermatologist, there are now a number of products on the market that now control this problem very well.

This disease is not contagious, that mean it will not spread from one person to other by clothing or other wise contamination. So, as far cleaning clothes you can use any good washing powder.
As per treatment Homeopathy medicine gives better results compared to allopathy, as allopathy has no proper medication for this.

Try Drefts. It is for infants clothing. Have had several customers with skin allergies buy this and swear by it. Good luck.
