bread's not warm enough. mine still melts. don't store it in the fridge. it doesn't need to be in there.

It's because the peanut butter was either quite cold when you spread it on the toast, the toast wasn't freshly cooked (the peanut butter has to be put onto the toast when it has just been cooked) or you are in a cold climate which cools down everything after it is cooked (so that the toast becomes cool quicker than normal which makes it difficult for the peanut butter to melt).

Try to put the peanut butter straight on the toast when it's cooked. It should melt. Oh also, what type of peanut butter is it? Is it smooth, crunchy (with pieces of peanut with the paste) or oily? That will also effect the extent to which it can melt (obviously the pieces of peanut wouldn't melt, just the smooth peanut butter covering the nut pieces).

less oil? get a more oilyer type of peantut butter

Your fridge is colder, or your store it in a colder part of the fridge.
