It does. During fever, body fights with the bacteria or whatever that caused the fever. During that fight, it loses calaroies which is normally seen as 'heat'. In addition to it, you don't consume the same food you take during your normal time. You tend to take 'light' meals which will further reduce the weight.

Yes but it is not the ideal method of attempting just to lose weight. .
There is also a weight loss due to the loss of fluid in the fever as well. replacemenyt of fluids is essential to maintain electrolyte balance. As are glucose for energy.
