Does it have a regular Glass Picture Tube , not an LCD or Plasma Screen ? If it is the old Glass Type, the TV has a built in Degaussing Coil that will eventually take the Red and Green out. Run Your Color Control all the way Down, and see if the Picture is mostly Black & White. If so, the Picture Tube is probably OK. If You're in a Hurry to get Your Color Right, there is a Device called an external Degaussing Hoop, 10 X stronger than the One built into the TV, that looks like a Steering Wheel to a Car, with a Power Cord plugged into an Electrical Outlet. Once it's Plugged in, and Switched On, place it flat at the Center of the Screen, with the TV Switched on, and the Color Control all the way down, so You can See the Red and Green. Run the Hoop by Hand in a Circular Motion, and slowly Step away from the TV as You're Circling the Screen. If Your TV is totally Red & Geen, and won't go to Black & White, then the part of the Picture Tube that Emits to the Blue Portion of the Screen is bad, and that means PICTURE TUBE ! Or, maybe the Plug on the Back of the Picture Tube may be Loose. Was the Set dropped or Mishandled in any way ? You'll probably have to take it to a TV Repair Shop for the Degaussing Hoop. Good Luck ! Hope this Helps !
