I have got addicted to the religion and spirituality section. I know this is a waste of time for me. But I could not stop. I think that the time I spend here could be used for something better. How can I stop this? It is just like being addicted to opium

Reading what other people think is a means to understanding ones self if you see yourself in others. Myself, I don't see others in what they write, I see their influencers. The theory behind Social Statistics is in being able to ask any question and use the average to influence the outcome. Thats how the draft dodger got elected and took us to war, Can we break away from the average and save ourselves? Stay tuned.

I had the same problem actually...

I thought by staying in the R&S section I might educate people, but too many zealots are here and they really don't want to hear what we have to say anyway.... they only look for self-gratification and some mutual back-slapping...

Wean yourself off by going to the fashion and beauty forums for something light and really airhead... or try the science ones for something more intellectual.

God has allowed you to come here, so that He can reveal Himself to you. This is one way to share the Gospel with others. Plus you can learn so much off here, and then you have people that just shouldn't be on here with their ridiculous words.

that is true. just visit the Church for couple of days. and have a good look at how the people act like the god is on top of the roof looking at them.
