I was told that according to Hebrew legend, the first woman God created
as a companion for the Adam was a strong-willed lady
named Lilith. (See Graves and Patai's Hebrew Myths and Reuther's
Womanguides.) As both had been created from dust, Lilith considered
herself equal to Adam. (They differed anatomically, of course,
with the Bible referring to a male as one who 'pisseth against
the wall' [1 Sam. 25:34; 1 Kings 14:10; 21:21].) Lilith objected
to having to lie beneath Adam during sexual intercourse, but Adam
would have it no other way. Lilith up and left him, winding up
in rabbinic tradition as a baby-killing demoness who seduces sleeping
men. Lilith is mentioned in Isa. 34:14, though the KJV renders
lilith as 'screech owl.' This first wife of Adam may safely be
called the world's first uppity woman.

Are all strong willed women daughters of Lilith ?

According to the Bible Eve was Adams first, She was not, Lilith was not equal to Adam, She is immortal, and would not bow down to a man.It is said until this day She kills babies.Again if people would read Genesis,God filled the world with immortal beings, long before He formed Adam from dust.

Your question was whether or not Lilith was Adam's first wife "In the Bible". The answer is, very simply, no. There is no mention of her anywhere in the Bible. She pops up from time to time in various other places, just not there.

Lilith was indeed later described as a evil, she is portrayed as the mother of all the succubi, which of course is what your talking about preying on sleeping men. She herself was not a succubus just the source for their origin, also the children she is described as killing were her own in original legend, she was forced to give up a certain number of her children for her disobediance. Of course it's gotten so twisted around no one know all of it for sure now but that's the basic gist of legend.

yeah, lilith is just a pagan myth taken from other cultures when the israelites came into contact with them. otherwise, she would have been written of in the torah and not just the later writings.

Adam had only one wife and that was Eve. Why would you believe myths. When the Bible is the true Word of God.
