I wanted to clear the ambiguities I have and hence solidify my understanding about the following:

The first five books of the Old testament are supposed to have been revealed upon Moses and are known as the Law of Moses. What about the rest of the Old Testament books? What is the exact Jewish view of those? Were they revealed upon some other prophet by God or were they penned by man?

Secondly, in Christianity, it is acknowledged that the Hebrew Bible (OT) was revealed before Jesus. In the New Testament (which were accounts of Jesus by followers), is there a part of the Bible that is supposed to have been REVEALED to Jesus by God or is it all penned by the followers of Jesus?

Thirdly, what exactly is the division of Jewish Scriptures; the Torah is the 1st five books of the Old Testament, what about the rest?

Thank you for your patience.

the Torah ("law, teaching") is the first 5 books, traditionally said to have been written by moses.

the next chunk is the Nevi'im ("prophets") which are the writings of (you guessed it) the prophets, and includes the books of joshua, judges, samuel 1&2, kings 1&2, isaiah, jeremiah, ezekiel, hosea, joel, amos, obadiah, jonah, micah, nahum, habakkuk, zephaniah, chaggai, zechariah, and malachai.

the next chunk is the Ketuvim ("writings") which are non-prophetic and include the psalms, proverbs, job, the song og songs, ruth, lamentations, ecclesiastes, esther, daniel, ezra, nehemiah, and chronicles 1&2.

altogether we take the first letters of each - T, N, and K - and therefore we call the entire jewish scripture by the name "Tanakh" rather than the christian term "old testament."

The first five are the Book of Moses correct the rest of the Old Testament are also Jewish scriptures revealed through other prophets. The new Testament was not handed to Christ as is taught by Muhammad who did not understand any previous scripture but was the testament of those who followed Christ. The word "Torah" is a tricky one, because it can mean different things in different contexts. In its most limited sense, "Torah" refers to the Five Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. But the word "torah" can also be used to refer to the entire Jewish bible (the body of scripture known to non-Jews as the Old Testament and to Jews as the Tanakh or Written Torah), or in its broadest sense, to the whole body of Jewish law and teachings. The Gospel was the teachings of Christ and followed his crucifiction and resurrection as this is the Gospel or good news. That God has offered an atonement for sin. Jesus himself taught from existing scripture and did fulfill the prophesies and the law.

The OT is the Jewish holy books, but the makers of Christianity stole them and then forced the Jews to place all of those so-called prophecies into them to attempt to support their fictional Jesus. BTW, all that stuff was of course written by men and small parts of the NT written also by one woman. All of it is false and ignorant and only the dumbest accept that total trash and waste of time. It is all fiction.

it really is extremely a lot actual that we do not abide by potential of the rules of the former testomony... this is the former Covenant given by potential of God to the human beings of Israel... as we are now below the hot Covenant that change into given to us by potential of God to the entire international by potential of way of Christ demise for all people on the pass and rose again... We use the former testomony specifically for historic applications and to study the previous... Even Jesus did not abide by potential of all the rules interior the former testomony... one which stands proud the most is the observance of the Sabbath. because Jesus is the proper sacrifice we are no longer required to provide up sacrifices for our sins... etcetera... it does no longer mean that we do not/can not/received't use the former testomony rules as rules of ways we would want to always stay... we are only now no longer guaranteed to those rules to make certain that us to be forgiven or to have a relationship with the Lord... i imagine there have even been study on how abiding by potential of different biblical nutritional "rules" is unquestionably advantageous and healthful...
