Yes, they will know. And, it is better, and definitely much more cost effective to use the health insurance, than to try to pay out of pocket. There is nothing wrong with just wanting a regular check up. Depending on your age, it is good, because in case of need of vaccinations. I don't know why, other than them worrying about your health as to why you don't want them to know about it. As a parent myself, I would rather have my child (adult or younger) if on my medical insurance, get that check up, instead of not. Take care.

You're parents will probably find out about your appointment. Bills may be sent, even if they have a zero balance. They may also get a statement from their insurance carrier. If you're simply going for a checkup, and your only concern is for them not to worry, why not tell them you need it for work? That would also keep them from asking questions, or checking your results. You can also get a checkup somewhere else for free or very little. Contact your local health department, or Planned Parenthood clinic. They can tell you when, where, and often how much it will cost.

the only way the will find out is if your doctor personally calls them. i had a doctor do that once because i was under age. that is the reason for insurance for insurance so you don't have a bill. if you get something done that insurance doesn't cover then your parents will get a bill for the left over balance. you have to get their insurance card too. you can't get the checkup without the insurance unless you can pay out of your pocket or just go to your local health department they are not allowed to tell without your permission. confidentiality all the way!!!

you can get a check up w/o insurance, can be costly at times and they will want cash up front. if you go the insurance route and even if you pay the co pay, they will still at least get a receipt from the doctor let alone the insurance company. might even state any findings in laymen, non medical terms.
I forget the age, might be 12 but not sure, but there is a thing and law called patient / doctor privilege. Meaning what is spoken of, found, looked into is kept between you and the doctor, by law.
Least it is a USA law.

I don't know about your parent's insurance, but every time I use mine I get a statement in the mail saying where I used it, for what kind of service, how much my bill is, and how much of my bill the insurance paid!

in case you utilize the coverage to circulate to the physician, then they get an "explanation of advantages", which tells them which you used the coverage to circulate to the physician. in case you visit the physician and pay the physician's finished cost utilising purely your man or woman money, with out utilising coverage, then they gained't get something.
