especially the ones flowing through metro cities, they have turned into nullahs while passing through them and have lost there beauty and glory. Its pathetic and painful who is responsible after all? what could be the remedy the laws or awareness? We all talk about it but are clueless.

First and foremost we ourselves should be clean. The government should be more strict towards the ones breaking the rules. The industries do not care of the environment and pass all the harmful materials in the rivers.Strict inspection should take place and those found guilty should be punished severely.

As an individual we can take various steps: 1] To Reduce Air Pollution: First of all,the use of large vehicles like cars etc. should be reduced.People should try to use [solar-powered] cycles or should walk if the distance to be traveled is less. Citizens n especially school students should be made aware about the increasing pollution.People should turn off the engine when they are waiting on the signal.So that they don't ADD to the pollution of air.People should form a group n travel in one single vehicle instead of taking everyone's car.We should plant more and more trees in the environment. 2] To Reduce Water Pollution. Some people have a habit of throwing the waste in the water. If they stop doing this,it will really help to keep the water clean. During festivals like Ganesh Chathurthi,we should keep eco-friendly idols made up of only mud.And during the visarjan time,these idols should be submerged in running water so that the mud or clay is separated quickly.

The Central pollution board will band consent to operate licence to the new polluting industry near the river. The municipality will arrange sewage treatment plant near the river to reuse the sewage water to the road side trees. The government should ensure all Industry will be Zero water discharge plant. If any Industry deviate the above system to be penalised immediately.

To keep the environment clean, first of all we should be clean!!! Also we have to take care that 'how the water of rivers is used?' Some rules have to be developed b government against the people who misuse the water & specially revers.

first of all theGovt. of india have to make a local commission provincially and to operate this commission, members or directors must perform effectively so that the money can be utilised porposely

well firstly i'll say- impose fines on people who dump their rubish in there n stop them from washing there- provide a separate area well provided with water from the river... now how hard can tht b on da govn?
