The doctrine of the trinity can be found in Genesis. The first book of Moses. If God did not create man in his image man would perish with his flesh. the image of God is why man has a spirit unlike animals who die with their flesh.Moses who gave you the very first scripture from God explained it all. How you are created in God's image...which is Father Son and Holy Spirit. how man fell form God's grace...Adam's sin. God's plan of Salvation through Jesus the tree of life..All of the scripture as far as God's plan of salvation can be found from the first scripture he sent down to man. Adam was told in the day he ate of the tree of knowledge he would surely die. this reflects God's righteousness and that God could not be joined to sin. The fact that the other tree in the midst of the garden was the tree of life reflects God's eventual plan of salvation for his creation. We are told in Mathew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Jesus was to be named Yeshua which is Hebrew for salvation because he would save his people from their sin. Was Jesus' name changed also? I have never understood how people can believe the entirety of the Bible was changed to promote the deity of Christ....Jewish scripture included to show this salvation that was to come when the Jews never accepted the deity of Christ....Wouldn't you think they would have disagreements with these corruptions? Leonard clearly you are Muslim and have believed a lie any research will show that the Bbile reflest the same teachings from as far back as 175 which is 300 years before Muhammad. The Qu'ran teachs that you should say to the people of the book We agree with the revelation handed down to you. Your God is our God. Muslims argue that this does not mean this book but some earlier uncorrupted book. The fact remains the people of the book you are suposed to agree with would have to have been present after the writing of the Qu'ran or how would you say anythng to them? If the book said Christ atoned for sin from before the Qu'ran was written you have yourself a delema...How can my God be your Allah or how could your Allah not have known about this already present corruption? even if the corruption was not already present which clearly the Bible has always taught the same message...but even if it had not isnt Allah all knowing would he have not known?

The belief in the trinity goes back to ancient Babylon where all false religion started. The Greeks just embelished it. To say that the Bible teaches the trinity is wrong. There is not one verse in the Bible that says the Father, Son and the holy spirit are equal in substance, power, and eternity AND that they make up one God.

But what is the claim based upon? What supporting documents is there to back such a claim? May I refer you to the works of Larry Hurtado who has written extensively that Jesus was worshipped as God in very earliest Christianity. That the deity of Jesus was an evolved idea does not stand up to historical scrutiny.
