the idea that Jesus had to die on the cross in order for our sins to be forgiven, make sense?why can't God forgive our sins without the payment of a sacrifice?

because God is love and evil was born out of the fallen angel, Lucifer. that's why. God is so pure and holy, we cannot even be considered children of God, because we were seeped in sin and impurities. only through Jesus Christ who passed the ultimate test of being a human without sin on Earth was a bridge allowing for atonement, and a perfect union with God in the kingdom of heaven. without his loving sacrifice of his one and only Son, we would not be here...if Abraham had not followed the command to sacrifice Isaac for the Lord...that was a test to see if a follower of God was willing to do this. of course, the angel stopped that from occuring. God gave up his Son...he paid the price that we were supposed to pay but could not afford...We would have been in eternal damnation. But, we are being stood the same test. Do you love God and are you willing to follow him? If not, the blood of his Son is on our heads and we will not gain the kingdom of heaven... It is now our decision, whether to accept or reject his love for us. We did not deserve a second chance but God's compassion, to give up his SON shows us that he loved us humans who turned against him..just like Lucifer did who wanted to be at the right hand of God. Therefore we must worship and praise JC and ask for atonement for our sins and forgive others because he forgave us. He paid the price we could not pay. We owe it to him. I hope this makes sense to you. God bless.

God said that is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood. In the old testament sacrifices were made yearly. Lambs and other animals were sacrificed to atone for the sins of the people, however, that was not once and for all- it had to be done over and over. Until God sent His Son Jesus to be the perfect lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Whoever believes will have eternal life. He paid the price that we could never pay- because the "wages of sin is death"- we were born in sin and we will die in our sin, unless we accept His loving sacrifice. God is Holy- and there had to be a payment- I am SO thankful for that sacrifice, so that I can live eternally with and for Him.

God has made a rule that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. The shedding of the blood of animals offer temporary forgiveness of sins but the shedding of Jesus' blood offers eternal forgiveness of sins. God has made a rule and as a God of justice He made Himself subject to that rule through the sacrifice of His beloved Son. That is why God so loved the world that He gave. (John 3:16)

For the same reason we cant as a society just "forgive" child molesters and murderers.

Think about it, if someone molested your child and he went into court and gave a heartfelt apology and the judge just let him off the hook, you'd be pissed. Society would be pissed. They would demand justice, as they should.

God's wrath at sin HAD to be satisfied in the form of justice. Jesus was the only sacrifice that could cover the depth of the injustice (sin) in the world.

You can't truly forgive something unless you were the one who was hurt or sinned against. Maybe that's why God had to become human and suffer. Jesus forgave his brutal murder and by doing so, He in effect forgave every sin that could ever be committed. He felt all the pain of all innocent victims of crime and injustice. By not sinning in return, He stopped the vicious cycle of sin and buried it with Him. That is why it is said He takes away the sins of the world.

If you isolate your thinking of that concept from biblical text, Its not logical to the objective human mind.
Personally I do not understand why Jesus's death is believed to have been with the purpose of clearing our sins?

Kill the symbol of christianity and we are all home free and all our future sins are forgiven??? how is that ?

The Jews Killed him because Christianity was a threat to their relgious power, plain and simple!

The bible states "the wages of sin is death". God told adam "the day you eat thereof ye shal sherly die".
the recompence of sin, requires death. the problem with this, is if we die for our own sins we end up in hell.
the death of sin, is not the death of this mortal life, but spiritual death, hell.
in the old testimate animals were sacreficed to cover up the sin of man. God took the death of the animal in the place of the human that sined.

this is the same for christ. because christ had no sin, death was not required of him. this is why he was able to become a sacrefice for our sin.

God requires death for sin. that is his law. he knew we could not escape this, so his plan was that "mine own arm shall bring forth salvation". God died for our sin, so that would did not have to die for it.

we must have his death applied to us. repentence for sin, and watter babtism (a spiritual repusentation of being burried), then you will recieve the holy ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. the bible says "we must be born of the water and of the spirit" (babtism and the holy ghost)

the plan of salvation is in acts chapter 2.
