Anyone been denied an F-1 student visa to US but were approved second time?

How did it work for you? From what country? Any advice?

I had a Colombian girl who was denied the first time and got approved the second time. Her aunt lives in Texas and she planned to live with her during her studies and I think this had a lot to do with the original denial. She got a lot of information together for her second interview and provided a lot of information about a job offer she had waiting for her after she completed her studies.
