Oh, a Chardonnay fer sure. I even cook my pasta in it or just as good is to pour a little over the sauce on your dish.... YUM... how did you know that's what I cooked tonight? Are you spying on me? Did you like the touch of black olives?

Although a lot of people drink a dry red with pasta, many prefer a crisp dry / fruity white wine with it as well. Chardonnay, Cabernet Blanc will perfectly match your fettucine. Also you can try Lambrusco or a good slightly sparkling crispy white. My choice would be Italian whites to match this Italian dish. Bon appetit.

Bah...I'm gonna tell you something new. Throw conventional thinking about wine out the window. If there is a wine that you really enjoy then try that. It's alot of fun to try wines that no one would normally try with certain dishes. I like Pinot Grigio with pasta and I had a Resiling with my chicken parmisian the other day they were both tasty decisions in my case. You should try a nice Austaralian Shiraz with salmon sometime too. Good luck.
