I am a 11 yr Lexus expert, love the cars. I am also certified in GM products and BMW. In all my years in the business I have stayed clear of the Nissan product due to a few reasons. Mainly their paint.
But I must admit the new G35 sedan is really a sharp car, beautiful lines. Well until I look inside and see the 1972 buttons and switches, just kills the elegance of the exterior.
Lexus, can't go wrong, interior or exterior. The 98-02 GS is my baby but the new IS is coming up a close rear. The older SC I was a huge fan of and have turned many friends onto them.

please give us more information on what you want in the car, how much youre going to spend, which models youre looking at, and weather your buying new or used, as well as any other info you can.
on your broad question though, buy a lexus. theyre more reliable and generally better as a luxury car.
