They all claim to be free but after you get half way through their 1hr long application their asking for a credit card number..
I'm not cheap or any thing but I don't use credit card's Ive seen too many people get in too deep with credit card's.
But I wonder it seems any more it like it is required. .
I went to get a vid at Blockbuster the other day and they wouldn't let me check one out because I didn't have major credit card.Ridiculous.

I don't have a credit card either, but after repeated treatment similar to what you describe, I decided to get a VISA debit card. It's a VISA (you can also get them in Mastercard and american express form), that can be used in all the same conditions and circumstances as a "credit" credit card, but your only able to spend your own money, like a savings account on EFTPOS. As a safety measure, there is a facility for overdraw of a few hundred dollars, but the fees and charges for using the facility are sooooo high that I go to every length to ensure that never happens.
Anyway, very few banks offer this kind of card to customers, because it doesn't make them very much money, and the ones that do won't advertise it for the same reason. The best way I can think of is to simply call your local branches on the phone and ask.

There is this virtual game called Virtual Laguna Beach, it's a place to meet your future mate and it is free. You get to meet people and have fun in the process. You won't regret it, I didn't. I met my now boyfriend on there, the game can get kind of frustrating after you're with someone, but you meet a lot of interesting people.
